Department of Administritative Cases

The Department of Administrative Cases was established on February 6, 2004.

 VERONIKA KRŪMIŅA is the Chair of the Department of Administrative Cases. 

  • In 1987, Veronika Krūmiņa graduated from the Faculty of Law of the State University of Latvia, in 1990 – the Institute of International Relations.
  • Ms.Krumina was elected in the post of the Chair of the Department of Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court's Senate in 2007, but she has worked in the post of the senator of the department since 2005. Until that time, she held the position of a judge in Riga city Vidzeme Suburb Court and the Administrative Regional Court, as well as she had worked as the director of the Department of Codification of the Ministry of Justice, deputy secretary of State in legislative matters and the deputy secretary of State in court matters, she had also worked in the Legal department of the State Chancellery.

The Department of Administrative Cases consists of the Chair and twelve judges.

Each judge in the Department of Administrative Cases has a personal assistant.

Four legal research counsels and a consultant also work in the Department.

Office work of the department is ensured by the Chancery of the Supreme Court.
