Chief Justices of the Supreme Courts of Baltic States present books to People’s Bookshelf

By concluding the conference “Development path of Judicial Systems of the Baltic States”, the Chief Justices of the Supreme Courts of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia each presented a book containing a special record to the People’s Bookshelf of the National Library of Latvia.

An oak planted by the Supreme Courts of the Baltic States flourish in Čakste’s family home

In the centenary of the Baltic States, honoring the first President of Latvia, Jānis Čakste, and his family, the judges of the Supreme Courts of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania planted an oak on 15 June in the home village of Čakste family “Auči” in Ozolnieki district.
